What To Do First

  1. Visit the University International Office
    Contact Program Coordinator Our Office Hour International Collaboration Office provides you assistance, practical advice, and information that will help you prepare for your necessities at the university and stay in Bogor. We also gives you assistance in immigration and visa conversion/extension process. Please come to our office at Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building 1st Floor, IPB Dramaga Campus, phone (0251) 8622 638, e-mail: ico@ipb.ac.id or internas.icoipb@gmail.com. Just visit us anytime and tell us your needs, we will be more than happy to help and assist you. International Collaboration Office is open from Monday – Friday, except during holidays. The office services hours are 08.00 am – 04.00 pm with break from 12.00 am – 01.00 pm (Monday to thrusday).

It is good idea to cantact the program coordinator as soon as possible to ensure that you are on time for your initial introductory courses and events at the beginning of the semester.
  3. Open a Bank Account
    It is most convenient to open a checking account with a Bank Nasional Indonesia (BNI). This is an account from and to which money can be transferred-nationally and internationally. You will also receive a BNI debit card for cashless payments and cash withdrawls from ATMs. For opening a bank account you will need passport, recommendation letter from IPB, and confirmation of registration.
  4. Obtain Your Student Card
    Your student card is very important document and you will need it on various occasions. The card has following functions:
    -Proof of the student status
    -Library card access
    -Student health cover access
    -To obtain internet access
    -To debt your money from ATMs
    -Borrowing bicycle in-campus
    -Access the examination
  5. Internet Access
    When you get the student card, you will be granted username and password by the educational administration officer. Your username and password allow you to login onto any university computer and also to use wireless connection with your own laptop on campus.
  6. Campus Orientation
    The orientation is organized by the Board of Student Affairs. The aims is to familiarize you with the structure and the campus facilites, your study course and departement.
  7. Register For Courses
    Academic Calendar Spring Semester Summer Semester You can apply for the next semester’s courses by visiting IPB website during the registration period at the end of each semester. The application period is announced on the university academic calender. If you miss this period, you still have chance to apply for the classes during the add/drop period (the first two weeks of the spring/summer semesters).

    The university year is devided into two terms where the new year academic is usually started on august – september.
