Where and when?
The programme takes place in Montpellier, one of the most attractive cities in southern France, in July and August.
Depending on your level, it is possible to register for either both months or just one month: July 2rd to 28th and/or August 1st to 24th.
For whom?
The Language & Culture Summer School is designed for international students and graduates, ranging in French proficiency from absolute beginner to intermediate levels (from A0 to B1).
What’s in the program?
Upon arrival, students take a placement test in order to be placed in the most appropriate group according to their language level.
The maximum group size is 15 students per class, with an average of 12.
- 100 hours of French language teaching per month
- 40 hours of French cultural and social activities per month
- Reinforced French language classes for beginners
Outside the classroom, students participate in organized activities designed to help enhance their language skills through immersion in French cultural events.
You will be able to discover Montpellier and the Languedoc-Roussillon region through the social and cultural activities programmed. You will visit the Cité of Carcassonne, the largest medieval city in Europe with its walls still intact. Another destination is the city of Nîmes, home to one of the world’s best preserved Roman coliseums. Outside Montpellier you will see Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, ranked one of the most beautiful villages in France, and the UNESCO World Heritage bridge across a nearby gorge known as Le Pont du Diable.
How much does it cost?
The fee for the entire programme (French language immersion course and cultural activities) is €860* per month.
The fee for the French language immersion course alone is €720* per month.
* Cost of food and accommodation are not included in this fee.
