Diah Iskandriati, DVM, IPB Expert Involved in Creating mBSL-2 COVID-19 Mobile Lab

Diah Iskandriati, DVM (from IPB Faculty of Veterinary Medicine) is our biosafety expert who plays a big role in the creation of mBSL-2, BSL-2 mobile laboratories in anticipation of growing number of COVID-19 cases. Launched by President of Republic of Indonesia–Joko Widodo, this innovation allows lab to be transported dynamically to regions that are in-need of BSL-2 labs facility. IPB University Leaps to Top 540 in QS World University Ranking 2021

This year, IPB University leaps about a hundred spots from its previous position to Top 540 in QS WUR 2021 among thousands of higher education institutions included in the selection. Lately, IPB University also places World’s Top 59 according to QS WUR by Subject: Agriculture and Forestry 2020. “Inspiring Professional and Leadership Award” and “Outstanding Figure and Inspiring Leaders of the Year” 2020 for IPB Alumnus

Kaisar Akhir, young alumni of IPB Dept. of Marine Sciences and Technology received two national awards for his outstanding professionalism and leadership. Kaisar founded Maritim Muda Nusantara, an organization focusing on youth’s involvement in Indonesia’s maritime with now over 1300 members and volunteers nationwide. Collaboration with Oxford University, University of Queensland, Nottingham University and USAID on far-ranging projects

IPB University is pleased to collaborate with numerous top tier global institutions in tackling broad array of issues. Together with University of Oxford and University of Queensland, IPB Vocational School presents various methods to support lower-class economy utilizing local food system. IPB University, University of Nottingham and Belitung Regency Government also established joint research to create a Pandemic-Resilient Belitung. IPB Social Business Expert Speaks at International Symposium by La Trobe University, Australia

Dr Suprehatin, lecturer and social business expert from IPB Department of Agribusiness, was invited to speak in The 2nd International Social Business Symposium by Yunus Social Business Center, La Trobe University, Australia. He stressed about impacts COVID-19 on businesses and how those enterprises shall respond. Also presents in this occasion, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate (2006), LTU Honorary Professor and Founder of Grameen Bank and Social Business—Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus. Read more >>

IPB Academia holds Webinars with Partners from New Zealand, Malaysia, U.S.A., and ASEAN

IPB University’s Department of Management is humbled to have Indonesian Ambassador for New Zealand speak about COVID-19 handling in the country, while Malaysian IIUM halal expert and IPB Dept. Food Science and Technology discussed about pandemic impact on halal industry. IPB Department of Resources and Environmental Economics and Dartmouth University (U.S.A.) also in their webinar highlighted deforestations issues.
