Bogor Agricultural University to IPB University: The Rebranding


Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) officially launched its international naming and slogan change to be “IPB University” and “Inspiring Innovation with Integrity”, respectively. IPB Rector—Dr. Arif Satria stated about the brand evaluation importance, where it does not only offer simplicity, but also keeps the original abbreviation (IPB) that has been applied since university’s first establishment in 1963. This rebranding is expected to portray broad-range of provided scientific fields in IPB, in order to regard a more solid and value-added branding at the onwards’ exposures. Read more >

IPB University’s Rector on Digital Agricultural Solutions at FAO Rome


The Rector of the newly rebranded IPB University—Dr. Arif Satria, was invited as the only university’s representative by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to discuss the main points of the meeting on “Digital Agriculture” at the FAO Head Office in Rome, Italy. He explained concept of IPB University in Agro-maritime 4.0 and introduced 25 digital innovations by both IPB lecturers and students on topics such as food security, climate change adaptation and mitigation. Read more >

IPB University is proudly launching this year’s summer courses—with total of 19 programs! Through April-October 2019, myriad scientific fields became the highlighted focus area of these events organized by various IPB faculties, departments and research units. IPB University Engaged Collaboration with Melbourne University & Chonbuk National University


IPB University penned a Memorandum of Understanding each with top global institutions, Melbourne University (MU, Australia) and Chonbuk National University (CNU, South Korea). MU concentrated focus on agriculture (plant, soil, animal, agribusiness and sociology), food, one-health and forest sciences. Meanwhile, aiming to promote student exchange, short course, or summer course, CNU offered their high-tech research facilities for potential collaboration. Read more >

IPB University Students’ Winning Streak in U.S.A. and France


IPB University undergraduate students, “Go-Crokies” team: Ditta Hakha Soleha, Budy Salaam Muhammad, Darren Tanaka (Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology) won second place in U.S.A. (IFT’19); whereas Mahtuf Ikhsan (Department of Forest Management, Faculty of Forestry) was awarded honorable prize in France (RIMUN 2019). “Go-Crokies” team displayed novel cricket cookies product innovation, whilst Mahtuf brought on globalization and migration issues. Read more >
