IPB University’s Orientation Program Breaks Stop Motion Animation World Record

IPB University has broken the world record for Stop Motion Animation at the Student Orientation Program for batch 57 with 7.920 photos from 3.720 participants, all new students who are entering IPB University in 2020. This record has shown yet again that IPB University’s students are trend setters in innovation. IPB University Alumnus Successfully Developed African Sweet Potatoes to Prevent Stunting

An alumnus of IPB University, Dr. Erna Abidin, has successfully developed new sweet potato varieties as part of a stunting prevention program for children in the East and West regions of Africa. Dr. Erna uses a molecular biology approach to discover the origins of sweet potato and implement those data in the innovative breeding program she has worked on for more than 4 years.  Read more >>

IPB University’s Computer Science Department Holds International Conference on Computer Science and Its Applications in Agriculture

An international conference was held by IPB University’s Computer Science Department on the topic of computer science and its application in the field of agriculture. This conference was held for scholars to come together and exchange ideas, researches, and have discussions on current technological developments. IPB University is also currently developing agromaritime 4.0 which will heavily utilize technology in its development.  Read more >>

The 4th International Virtual Conference of Zakat, Waqf, and Islamic Philanthropy was held by IPB University and UiTM Malaysia

As a result of a collaboration between IPB University’s Department of Islamic Economics and Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia, the 4th International Virtual Conference on Zakat, Waqf, and Islamic Philanthropy was held. The Minister of Finance, Dr Sri Mulyani Indrawati and the Chairman of the Sharia Advisory Committee for Permodalan Nasional Berhad, Datuk Dr Mohd Daud Bakar, were present as speakers. The 5th EMBRIO Summer Course 2020 Participated by Students from Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines

The 5th EMBRIO Summer Course is an annual international event organized by IPB University’s Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science which was held for the 5th time this year and attended by 55 participants from three countries: Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia. The course featured aquaculture commodities and cultivation systems in Indonesia, while also discussing their developments in the modern age. Read more >>

IPB University’s Faculty of Agriculture Holds Online International Summer Course on Sustainable Tropical Agriculture

The Summer Course on Tropical Agriculture was held yet again this year, organized by IPB University’s Faculty of Agriculture and spanning the course of 12 days. The event was attended by around 30 students from six universities who all participated in the event virtually, from virtual visits to research centers, to a virtual cultural performance. Read more >>
