11 Consecutive Years of IPB Dominations on Indonesian Prospective Innovations
For 11 consecutive years, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) has been dominating Indonesian prospective innovation list each year. In the “110 Indonesian Innovations 2018” undertaken by the Center for Business Innovation (BIC) under Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) of Republic of Indonesia, innovations originated from IPB academia’s works summed up to 39 innovations. The distinguished IPB Food Science & Technology lecturers swept prizes in two World’s congresses within the same week. During 19th International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) World Congress of Food Science and Technology, achievements included Prof.Dr. M Aman Wirakartakusumah as “Chair of International Academic of Food Science and Technology” (2018-2022), Prof.Dr. C. Hanny Wijaya as “The Newly Inducted IAFoST Fellow”, Dr. Azis Boing Sitanggang as “The Internationally-Reputed IUFoST Young Fellow”; meanwhile Dr-Ing. IPB Cooperates with Handful of Japan’s Renowned Institutions on Intelligent Environmental Monitoring System Development
IPB delegations held a series of collaborative meetings to various Japanese counterparts, comprised of Tokyo University, Tokyo University of Agriculture and National Institute for Environmental Studies. The representatives initiated development on smart and low-carbon eco-monitoring system with the latter institution, whereas collaboration strengthening conducts between IPB and the two Tokyo universities were undertaken as well.
