IPB University Rose to 511+ in the World in QS World University Rankings 2022

QS World University Ranking, a prestigious ranking system for international higher education institutions, has released their 2022 list earlier this month. IPB University has managed to rise in rank, earning a spot at the 511-520th place after previously ranking at the 531-540th place. In response to this achievement, Prof Arif Satria, Rector of IPB University, welcomes new collaborations and partnerships to create even more far-reaching global impact.   Read more >

Coral Transplantation to Rehabilitate Indonesian Coral Reefs, a Talk by Dr Hawis Maddupa

Dr Hawis Maddupa, Head of IPB University’s Department of Marine Science and Technology and expert in marine biology, was invited to speak at the Kehati Foundation Webinar in commemoration of the Coral Triangle Day. The main topic of discussion was of coral transplantation using PVC as a media, done to rehabilitate Indonesian Coral Reefs in the effort of its conservation.     Read more >

Prof Mulyono S Baskoro Talks about the Potential of Squid Attractor for Marine Sustainability 

Prof Mulyono S Baskoro, Head of IPB University’s Center of Disaster Studies and lecturer of IPB University, spoke about his innovative creation which is now implemented in 30 regencies from 14 provinces in Indonesia: The Squid Attractor. As its name indicates, the device functions to attract squids to attach their eggs on the device and increase their population in the area the device is located, leading to more sustainable fishing.      Read more >
