Rector Arif Satria Officially Inaugurated as Chairman of Indonesian Rectors Forum 2020

During 2020 Indonesian Rectors Forum’s Conference, Campus Convention XVI and Annual Meeting XXII on July 4th, 2020 virtually, Rector of IPB University—Prof Dr Arif Satria was inaugurated as Chairman of the Indonesian Rectors Forum for the year 2020. IPB University acts as this year’s host of the event, where President Joko Widodo presented his opening speech in front of not less than 600 participants from higher education institutions’ board of directors were present. Read more >>

Rector Arif Satria in International Dialog with Kasetsart University, Joint Lecture Series with Monash University and University Network Webinar with Australian National University and Tokyo NODAI


IPB University Rector was invited as a speaker in International Online Dialog of Kasetsart University (Thailand) where he described strategies for higher education institutions to face the COVID-19 pandemic. IPB University and Monash University on July 7th, 2020 launched Joint Lecture Series throughout this month, presented by President and Vice Chancellor Prof Margaret Gardner. IPB Business School Now Offers International Class


Business School online event was held by IPB University’s Business School together with its Student Executive Board on June 13th, 2020. The event focused on introducing the regular and newly-offered international class to potential and upcoming freshmen as well as discussing details of admission process. Collaboration with Oxford University, University of Queensland, Nottingham University and USAID on far-ranging projects


Goettingen University (Germany) and three Indonesian universities including IPB University, for the last 8 years have been contributing through CRC990-EFForTS focusing on tropical rainforests area transformation-derived socioeconomic factors—and now is entering 3rd phase since July 2nd, 2020. Previously on June 26th, 2020, IPB Faculty of Economy and Management launched social protection-related double degree and credit earning program, collaborating with KU Leuven (Belgium) and Heidelberg University (Germany).   Read more >>

IPB University Webinars with Japan and Bangladesh on Animal Protein and Sawfish Studies


With fellow IPB University’s and general academia through other webinars, IPB Department of Animal Husbandry Production and Technology invited Prof. Masahiro Ogawa (Kagawa University, Japan) to discuss a variety of animal protein sources on June 16th, 2020. In another sector on June 17th, 2020, alumni of IPB Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences through Sawfish Project Indonesia organization had Mahatub Khan Badhon (Dhaka University, Bangladesh) to share his expertise expert on sawfish conservation. Read more >>

Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Awarded IPB Young Alumnus “Most Innovative Professional 2020”


On June 26th 2020, National Award Foundation and Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises granted Kaisar Akhir—IPB young alumnus as the “Most Innovative Professional 2020”. This Founder and President of Maritim Muda Nusantara hopes altogether with his 1,300+ members from all 34 provinces can contribute towards Indonesia as global maritime axis. This is a fascinating news following his previous achievements in two other national-level awards:  “Inspiring Professional and Leadership Award” and “Outstanding Figure and Inspiring Leaders of the Year” 2020. Read more >>
