IPB University Holds Discussion with Fukuoka University Regarding Future of Partnership 

With the rising cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia including Bogor, IPB University has opened up its dormitory to be used for the isolation of COVID-19 patients with none to slight symptoms. This is done with the coordination of Bogor City’s Health Department which has also provided doctors and medical staff to oversee the patients’ condition. Two other dormitory buildings have also been prepared as an emergency backup in the case of a higher surge in cases.     Read more >

Five Summer Courses Held this Month through Collaboration between IPB University and International Institutions 

This month has been filled with interesting summer courses organized by five departments of IPB University: The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, the School of Business, the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Animal Products Technology Department, and the Vocational School. These summer courses featured abundant international speakers and had attracted the attention of multinational participants, amounting to more than 800 students in total.       Read more >

Prof Khaswar Syamsu Awarded with SEARCA Regional Professorial Chair Grant for Contributions in Agricultural Technology.
Professor of IPB University’s Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Prof Khaswar Syamsu, has received a prestigious grant from the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) for his contributions in the field of innovative agriculture and track record in education, research and community service in relation to agricultural technology. Following the award, Prof Khaswar gave a general lecture titled “Increased Bioethanol Production Directly from Sweet Sorghum Baggase Using Mold and Yeast” on July 6th.      Read more >
