Prof Khaswar Syamsu Awarded with SEARCA Regional Professorial Chair Grant for Contributions in Agricultural Technology.

Professor of IPB University’s Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Prof Khaswar Syamsu, has received a prestigious grant from the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) for his contributions in the field of innovative agriculture and track record in education, research and community service in relation to agricultural technology. Following the award, Prof Khaswar gave a general lecture titled “Increased Bioethanol Production Directly from Sweet Sorghum Baggase Using Mold and Yeast” on July 6th.     Read more >

Erasmus+ SFarm Collaboration between European and Asian Universities for Sustainable Farming held Virtually

The Erasmus+ SFarm, a conference on sustainable farming was held on mid-July as the final event of a series of capacity training for IPB lecturers with speakers from Europe, facility grants for agro-tech, comparative studies to European and Asian universities, as well as curriculum readjustments which featured paper presentations and opportunities for networking and collaboration between international institutions.  Read more >

International Collaborative Symposium on Arboriculture Held to Increase Awareness of Green Prescription for Mental Wellbeing
Green prescription, a concept which encourages people to increase their activities spent in nature, had emerged as a way to relieve stress during the pandemic. The concept was presented and discussed at the International Symposium on Arboriculture in the Tropics held by IPB University’s Faculty of Forestry and Environment with the Association of Indonesian Arboriculture, Association of Malaysian Arborists, and Universiti Putra Malaysia.    Read more >
